Sunday we trekked up to Baltimore for the Gay Pride festival. It was held in Druid park which proved a far nicer venue than DC’s Pride which is located in the shadless swelter of the National Mall. It was great to hang with some friends and a nice suprise to see Tom Goss playing on one of the stages.
As one point our friend Tim when over and shook hands with a guy and brought him over into our circle of friends. Everyone started shaking hands with him and introducing themselves but I thought it was odd the man never introduced himself. He came around to me in the circle and I shook his hand and stated my name. Again, I got a “Good to meet you Fitz” but no indication to who he was. I leaned over to Tim and whispered: “Uh, who is this guy?” Tim replied: “The Governor”. “Of the State?” I asked. “Yep” Tim said. Hmm. Looking him over in this new light I saw that he did indeed ooze politician.
An interesting day.
