My Protest Vote Worked
Or at least that’s what I’ll claim. I voted Democratic yesterday – only the second time I’ve ever done so, and it was all in protest against our illustrious President Bush. I’m glad to see it helped get the message thru.

All eight members up for re-election to the Pennsylvania school board that had been sued for introducing the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in biology class were swept out of office yesterday by a slate of challengers who campaigned against the intelligent design policy.
Texas Sides With the KKK Against Gays
Unsurprisingly, the anti-gay amendment, heavily supported by the Klan, passed in Texas. I guess I can’t be too harsh on them as I do live in the Uber-bigot state of Virginia…
