Welcome to the Winter Solstice, darkest day of the year, and the first day of winter. Will and I’ve been getting all set for the holidays in typical fashion. We’ve got the tree (complete with moo-brites cow lights), the stockings, and most of the xmas shopping done.
And speaking of shopping, my mom heard that Children’s Hospital in DC need toys for the holidays so she rounded up the family and we went to Toys-R-Us to get them some. It was weird being back in a toy store. It was even weirder to note that they’re selling the same Star Wars toys I used to covet as a kid. The more things change…
Anyway, it was a fun excursion that netted over four shopping carts of goodies for the kids. I think my mom has found her holiday charity of choice for years to come.
